Necklaces
All of my chains are handmade using only sterling silver
(.925 pure silver), or fine silver (.999 pure silver). Many of the chains begin
with very simple components called jump rings. A jump ring can be made in many
sizes and is simply a ring of silver wire. The sequential or byzantine chains
are made from hundreds of these jump rings put together in a certain sequence to
create this classic design. Jump rings are also used to attach a pendant to a
chain. Another important feature of my chains is that the length is up to you.
Any of them can be used for a bracelet, anklet, necklace, watch etc....and are
designed to be worn by either men or women.
Every chain shown on this page was made by me by
hand. I make each of the jump rings, hearts, rosettes, hammered links,
hoops, S hooks etc.....except for the beads on the barbed wire and the lobster
clasps. Some of the chains and other jewelry have been oxidized for the
purpose of bringing out the detail or to give the piece an antique look.
After oxidizing, the piece is then polished with steel wool to highlight the
contrast. As you scroll down this page you'll see that the first 2
necklaces are polished and the 3rd one has been oxidized. All pieces can be
ordered with or without oxidizing.
Textured Concho Necklace -

Each sterling silver disc is
textured with various stamps and domed either convex or concave. Then the
fun begins when I design some really interesting connections for the conchos.
No two chains are alike and
this one is already sold but it gives you an idea of what is possible.

Spiraling Chain -

The width is 5/8" and the
length measures about 24" allowing the chain to slip over your head.
The clasp has been
eliminated to maintain the spiral.

The chain shown measures 19"
in length and just over 1/4" in width.
It's a very delicate looking

Graduated Sequential Necklace -

A truly classic chain of
understated beauty that can be worn with jeans or your best dress.
I start with a large 12 ga.
sequential link in the center and add 14 ga. sequential links on either
side, then 16 ga. sequential links and finish the chain with several inches
of 18 ga. sequential links to the desired length.
This one measures 18" long
and the center link is 1/2" wide.

Hammered Hoop Chain -

This light and sparkly chain is made from 3 sizes of
hoops each made from a different gauge wire. The hoops are soldered together
and then carefully faceted with a hammer to make it shimmer as you move.

Made by hammering round wire flat on either end and
drilling a hole to accommodate the silver ring that is inserted and then
twisted to join them. This is a sparkly and elegant chain equally beautiful

This very comfortable, smooth chain is formed by
looping two jumprings into two more jumprings, into two more jumprings, etc.
The resulting chain is one of my favorites to look at as well as wear. I
never take my 12 Ga. double cable bracelet off.
The double cable is a classic unisex chain that looks
